History

The guest of honour at the Cannes Film Festival in 1955, Grace Kelly did not yet suspect that her life was about to change. During a photo session at the Palace of Monaco, she met Rainier III; this event was to mark the beginning of a great love story between the actress and the prince. Upon their engagement in January 1956, a diamond with which she would never part sparkled on the young woman's finger. She even insisted on wearing it for her last screen appearance in Charles Walters's film "High Society".

In the film, we see Miss Kelly playing Tracy Samantha Lord lying on a bed and polishing her ring with a corner of the silk sheet in order to make it shine. There is no denying that the diamond is truly exceptional…
